Episcopal Charities Foundation

For when I was hungry, you gave me food; when I was thirsty, you gave me drink; when I was homeless, you gave me a welcome; when I was ill-clad, you clothed me; when I was sick, you cared for me; when I was in prison, you came to see me." Matthew 25:35-36

For over thirty years, Episcopal Charities Foundation (ECF) has been the means for us to follow the imperative to provide for the least among us, to reach out to those who hunger, those who need shelter, those who are sick. The generosity of people and parishes throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, has provided the funds needed to meet this mandate.

In January 2014, ECF awarded grants to twenty-four organizations - ministries which provide food to the hungry.

ECF created and oversees THE MATTHEW PROJECT, a partnership with Good Samaritan Health & Wellness Center in Jasper, GA, to help build a new center.  ECF will facilitate mission trips for groups across the diocese to come help build.  For more information on how you can take a mission trip to help build the center, click here:

Across the diocese for thirty-two years, ECF has funded food pantries, housing and homeless shelters, medical and dental clinics, transportation for children to visit incarcerated parents, and relief for families facing domestic violence. We supported gardens that built communities, harvested healthy food and left the earth just a little bit more sustainable.

ECF also funded after-school and summer programs for kids who need them; advocacy for those with no voice; ministries for the challenged and the lost; and organizations which empower those in need of employment and hope.
