Episcopal Charities Foundation: Loving our neighbors in need

Again in 2007, Episcopal Charities Foundation shared funds with a wide array of ministries and organizations throughout middle and north Georgia.  At just about any hour of the day, on any day of the week, compassionate and effective ministry was happening on behalf of every member of this diocese, whether they knew it or not!  Those who are most easily forgotten in our culture were continually reached in the name of love, providing hope where it is often in shortest supply.

As Episcopal Charities enters its 25th Silver Anniversary at the 101st Annual Council, the Board and I hope that you will take joy in seeing how the dollars shared by the parishes and people of this diocese have been hard at work.  St. Francis said, "Preach the gospel at all times.  Use words if necessary."  To all those "preachers" and to our donors who make this work possible, God's richest blessings and our sincerest thanks.

The Rev. Canon Debbie Metzgar Shew

Director, Episcopal Charities Foundation
